Tomorrow’s it. I did a count, and I just found out I’ve been waiting 4 months, 1 week and 2 days for tomorrow. xD I first found out about PG 00 on July 17th, and it’s almost the date of release. Can you believe that?

I’ve engaged myself in a few 00 Raiser-related projects over the past week to time with PG 00R’s release, as well as pass time. XD The week seemed to pass even more slowly than usual. I guess that happens when you’re waiting for something.

Usual warnings for laptop pictures apply!

2 of the projects I’ve been working on. Well, technically, they were already completed months ago, but I’ve been wanting to panel-line them for a while since they were snap-built, so I inked them.

You can’t really see the panel lines on SD 00 Raiser – pity since I was pretty happy with how it turned out. xD I didn’t colour the parts that needed painting since I didn’t have grey markers. Funny story behind this guy; I got him because I wanted SD O Raiser. Yeah, I bought the SD 00 Gundam release before the 00 Raiser one, so you could imagine how angry I was when the SD 00R was announced. Ohhh Bandai. ):

And HG 1/144 00 Raiser Designer Colors was a gift from a friend. XD;; Inking parts after the model has been completed is pretty inconvenient, and now this model can’t stand properly. I’m not sure why but he keeps bending over backwards ahaha. I’ll use a stand to display him. :V Oh, I really like the way his GN Drives turned out after panel lining. Sexy black lines. ♥ Gunpla really do look better after panel lining.

This is what has been keeping me busy yesterday and today. 8D I was stuck between Throne Drei and this guy and I went with this guy instead. I managed to get Drei in a trade. :)

Four packages of runners!

And 7 runners in total. :D :D So many runners…! Well, that’s a given, since we’re building two mechs here. There’re 7 runners, but most of them are small-sized. And PINK!! The shiny maroon colour is pretty. Stickers are also shiny; they kind of remind me of those very colourful stickers that I used to collect as a primary school kid. |D;;

This isn’t the first time I’ve built a specially-coloured kit – that honour goes to NG 1/100 Exia Trans-Am. Back then, I didn’t give a whole lot of thought into gunpla-building. Snap fit it asap, and it’s good. xD

So yes, Trans-Am Raiser is my second Trans-Am-coloured kit, and just looking at the runners alone, I now understand why people hate specially-coloured kits. x_X Besides visible nubs that are difficult to clean up, the paint job on the kit itself is really bad. On many parts, there’re blackish lines on the parts which appear as though I had many little accidents with the panel-lining marker. XD Hooray mass production. Luckily it’s not really visible unless you pick it up and closely inspect it.

My temporary workdesk. I don’t usually build my kits at the desktop table, it’s just that my sis is also on her break, and she uses my desk for the laptop. And there’re no other desks in the house which I can use for gunpla building, so I used the computer desk. xD

Two paper boxes – one for completed parts and one for eraser dust and litter. Idea ganked from Ngee Khiong. XD I usually reuse the box for completed parts for other projects so that it’s less wasteful, and I don’t use plain paper – I use notes that I don’t need lmao.

That cute blue pencil box holds my stuff. Gundam Markers, x-acto knife, tweezers, eraser. There’s also a toothpick in there for removing panel-lining ink from hard-to-reach places. The brush is for dusting! I got fed-up with the used paintbrush I was using since it was removing nothing, so I got this. xD

My cutting mat is called Ashley lmao. Ashley is relatively clean, save for some red paint spots and black spots which the panel-lining marker inflicted on her. And the cutter is the cheapo Bandai side-cutter. I’ve had it since I first got NG 1/100 Exia, which was…early last year, I think? Still pretty useful, but if you’re not careful when cutting parts, it’ll leave dents in the parts. >_>;

Anyway, since I’m not doing anything extra special, I didn’t bother taking a lot of pics of my progress, just what I had at the end of the day.

Day 1:
I have butter fingers! I kept dropping the parts until I’ve lost count, and luckily, I didn’t lose anything. X_X I got distracted by the awesome discovery of PG 00R’s moveable wing binders, and this was what I had at the end of the day:

I’m not very good at multi-tasking, can you tell? XD Oh, you can’t see it from the picture, but on the red sticker that goes onto 00R’s…forehead, you can actually see tiny words printed in white: “00 Raiser”. Pretty cool. xD

Day 2:
One arm and legs and waist to go! Shaving the flash with x-acto leaves a faint black mark on the spot where the flash is. Between an uncleaned and visible nub and a faint black nub mark which you can’t see unless you look at the area upclose, I guess the latter is a lesser evil. :/

But yeah, specially-coloured kits? Nice to look at, a pain to make them look good.

No butter fingers today! But I wasn’t paying attention and I had two instances of fixing together parts without putting everything in place. OTL Luckily, I was able to remove them and set things right.

And this is what I have right now:

A Gundam with no GN-Drives in Trans-am Mode…! 8D; I’ll give you your GN Drives tomorrow, 00! ;_;

Still got a long way to go.

Looks like I won’t be able to complete it in time for tomorrow. |DDD;; I guess I should have started on this instead of panel-lining SD 00, but that’s okay. Maybe if I concentrate more, I’ll be able to finish within tomorrow. o/ If not, I’ll just enjoy the process of building.

Tomorrow is nearly here! XD
